K-IRB DJ Lounge

One of the things I try to remind new DJs is that they should bring their own audience. Meaning, you go out and MySpace it or forum whore it or whatever you have to do to get the word out that you’re doing a radio show. Feel free to save and download the button icon we made for your show and put that in all your signatures on every forum you’re at.

Honestly, you want the most listeners for your show as possible, and we don’t do that for you. You do.

As much as k-IRB is supported by our listeners, they aren’t coming here for an automated program playing music all day and night; they are here for you, the live DJs.

So tell them when you are on the air. Invite them to go to your forum page at the k-IRB.com forum. Give out buttons and tell them to spread the word for you.

It sounds lame, but it’s true. And it will work for you if you are willing to take the time out and tell everyone the deal.

If you haven’t noticed the new layout for K-IRB.com, then you’re fucking blind - or you need to refresh your browser. By the way, catch up to 2006, while you’re at it.

Anyway, this thread is to let me be able to keep in touch with you guys while at the same let you be able to do whatever the Hell it is you guys do to keep in touch with each other and whatnot. Think of it like a “work bulletin board” except this isn’t work, and we have no push-pins.

I finally got to fixing the “log in” page. Just click on the link on “How to log in” to the right hand side, and there it is… everything you need to kick the feed, log on, and so on.

JOIN THE FORUMS!!! Every live DJ will get their own forum to moderate, so this will be a great way for everyone to get involved and help promote the damn thing. Once I figure it all out, I’ll probably have some kind of added linkage on there, so people can listen and such, and whatever.

Eventually, I want to have “official” K-IRB.com DJ pages, so if you don’t have a bio, email it to me (along with a moderately recent picture of yourself) at john@thedeadend.net and I’ll make the updates.

It’s a work in progress… and if you have ANY ideas, please feel free to let me know.
